Frequently asked questions
Can you give me a "Ball Park Estimate?
In order to serve you professionally, it's always best to prepare
detailed, reliable estimate, as "Ball Park" estimates are neither
accurate, reliable, or professional.
How long will it take to remodel my kitchen or bath?
Usually between three to five weeks depending upon the scope and description of the job.
How can I choose the right contractor for my job?
First of all, check with the California State license Board to determine if a person holds an active, valid contractor's license in good standing. If a person does not have a license, or says that they are using someone else's license; that is unlawful and may cause you problems. Check the person's references. Check with the Better Business Bureau. Do you instinctively have a good feeling about this person? Do they hold your interests at heart?
How do I avoid the "Horror Stories" I've heard?
Unfortunately, the construction and tradesmen industry has poor
public relations, and there are those unscrupulous, dishonest, and
unethical persons who perform shabby work, do not show up
when they are supposed to, do not finish the job, and abscond
with your money. You should take every precaution to check out
the person's background thoroughly before giving them any
money, and insist that they present a detailed agreement
specifying all of the work that they promise to do, how much
money it will cost, and the starting and completion date.
What makes your company different?
You will receive an honest and ethical estimate, a very fair and
affordable price within your budget, reputable, quality
workmanship, show up on time and complete the job
professionally as promised, communicate and keep you well
informed of the progress and scheduling of the job, process all
your architectural design and engineering plans, Home Owner's
Association application, obtain city permits, complete all required
inspections.
